Reichu: Rei's explanation of loneliness (sabishii) appears to be generic, as far as I can tell. She isn't specifically addressing Armisael with a "you" (kimi, anata, etc.), so the meaning here could just a well be, "(Any old person) hates being alone / by verself, right?" Like a rhetorical question. The "us" is there, though (watashitachi, literally, "me and others"). I'm not sure if there is some kind of ambiguity in the language here that could be making reference to Armisael's status as Adam's last natural offspring. (It would make sense if there were.) I'll have to ask around at some point. |
