“Decisive Edition!” [決定版！] glares out from the obi, and they're not kidding — this is one helluva NGE image collection, with 321 included pictures in all, most of which are in full color (but not
necessarily full-page…). But, heck, you didn't come here for a review, did you? Naw… You want to know what's actually IN this bloody thing! The appendix has thumbnails of all of the included works and provides two critical bits of info for
each one: artist and where the image first appeared. Just for fun, here's my attempt to transliterate the whole appendix into English, with color thumbnails and all. BTW, the thumbnails do not link to larger images … unless that image is utilized
as a supplemental image in FGC. Suffice to say, this will only be the case for a small percentage.
Also, I'm including the original Japanese for the various entries, since I feel like it. If you notice any flagrant errors, please let me know. Names for which I wasn't able to confirm the pronunciations are marked with **.
For the most part, the content in the book jumps all over the place, but there are several places where images occur in “clumps” — i.e., pictures by the same artist or from the same original source are printed back-to-back (so to
speak). Here are bookmarks to these “clumps” in the order that they occur:
